This website does not have a contact form. No personal data (such as name, email address, or message) is collected or submitted through this website.

Server access logs. My hosting provider, Hostinger, automatically records standard server access logs. These may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and date and time of access. This is standard practice for all web hosting. I do not actively access, analyse, or control these logs. They are managed by Hostinger as part of their infrastructure operation.

Browser localStorage. This website stores two items in your browser's localStorage: (1) your light or dark mode preference (key: theme), set when you use the theme toggle; and (2) a flag (key: cookie-notice-accepted) recording that you dismissed the cookie notice banner. Both items are stored entirely on your own device and are never transmitted to any server or third party. These localStorage items do not directly identify you and are not used to track you across websites.

Fonts. This website uses the Geist typeface, which is downloaded and self-hosted at build time. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any external font service when you visit this site.

What I do not collect. I do not use Google Analytics, Meta or Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, advertising pixels, behavioural tracking tools, retargeting tools, or marketing software. I do not collect payment information, create user accounts, store login credentials, collect special category data, or knowingly collect data from children. I do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Email contact. If you choose to contact me by email at nikkaul1997@gmail.com, any personal data you include in that email is provided voluntarily and will be used only to read, manage, and respond to your message. Please avoid sending sensitive personal data, passwords, payment details, confidential business information, medical information, or legal documents unless specifically requested and necessary.

Lawful basis. Where UK GDPR applies, the lawful basis for processing server access logs is legitimate interests, namely website security, technical operation, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting. If you contact me by email, the lawful basis is legitimate interests in reading and responding to your enquiry, or pre-contractual steps if your message relates to potential work or services.

Hostinger International Ltd hosts this website and processes server access logs as part of standard hosting infrastructure. See their privacy policy at hostinger.com/privacy-policy.

I do not use any other third-party data processor in connection with this website. If you email me directly, your email is received via Google (Gmail), which operates under Google's standard terms and privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

I do not sell, rent, trade, or share any data with third parties for advertising, commercial resale, or any purpose not described in this policy.

Server access logs processed by Hostinger may be handled in the European Union (Lithuania) or other locations in accordance with Hostinger's own infrastructure and data transfer arrangements. I do not control where Hostinger processes this data.

I rely on Hostinger and Google as established, reputable providers who maintain their own data protection commitments. I cannot guarantee the security or regulatory compliance of third-party infrastructure outside my direct control.

Server access logs are retained by Hostinger in accordance with their own data retention policies. I do not control this.

Both localStorage items (theme and cookie-notice-accepted) remain on your device until you clear your browser data. They are never transmitted to me or any third party.

If you email me directly, I will retain that correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to manage our communication, or as required by law.

This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, behavioural tracking tools, or marketing pixels. It does not set any cookies.

The only browser storage used is localStorage. Exactly two keys are written:

• theme: stores your light or dark mode preference (“light” or “dark”). Set only if you use the theme toggle.
• cookie-notice-accepted: stores the value “1” once you dismiss the cookie notice banner. No personal data is recorded.

Both items contain no personal data, are used for no tracking or commercial purpose, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings (typically under Settings › Privacy › Clear browsing data).

All data transmitted to and from this website is encrypted via HTTPS and TLS. While I take reasonable steps to maintain a secure website, no method of online transmission is completely secure. I am not responsible for security incidents caused by third-party providers, infrastructure failures, or events outside my reasonable control, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Because this website does not actively collect personal data, there is limited personal data for me to provide, correct, or delete in response to a data subject request. The localStorage items described in Section 6 contain no personal data and can be cleared directly in your browser at any time without contacting me.

UK residents (UK GDPR). Under UK data protection law you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and the right to object. Given that this website does not actively collect personal data, most of these rights will have no practical application here. If you have a concern, contact me at nikkaul1997@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with my response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
